You can buy anything Amazon sells, including books for your Kindle, using Amazon gift cards.
It’s a popular way for people to budget for their digital reading material or to give the gift of reading to others.
Make sure that the gift card is for the same country as the recipient’s Kindle Store. But how can you give Kindle book as a gift?
How To Use Your Gift Card On Kindle?
1. Look For The Claim Code
Look at the back of the gift card for the claim code. If it’s an electronic card, the claim code will be included in a mail from Amazon.
If, on the other hand, you are using a physical card, you will need to scratch off the code that is printed on the back of the plastic card.
2. Access Your Amazon Account
Go to Amazon’s website and log into your account.
3. Go To Your Account Settings
Hover over “Account & Lists” in the top right corner, then click “Your Account.”
4. Navigate The Gift Card Section
Under the “Amazon Wallet” section, click on “Gift Cards.”
5. Select The “Redeem A Gift Card” Button
To use a gift card, go to your account page, select “Redeem a Gift Card,” and then input the claim code on the back.
Handy tip: When you purchase a Kindle book, the cost will be deducted from your gift card balance first.
If the gift card balance isn’t enough to cover the total cost, the remaining amount will be taken from your default payment method.
